If you want to start tracking visits to your booking page and how many customers end up booking an appointment, you can use our Google Analytics integration.

Adding tracking to your booking page

To set this up, you must have an account with Google Analytics, and to then follow these steps:

  1. Get your Universal Analytics tracking ID (which looks like UA-12345678-90) by logging into Google Analytics, opening the "Admin" menu, and clicking "Property Settings"

  2. On 10to8 go to "Online Booking" > "Booking Page" > “SEO and Analytics Settings”.

  3. Copy and paste this into the Google Analytics Tracking Code field within 10to8.

What to look for on Google Analytics

10to8 will fire Page View events as users navigate through the booking flow. You can use the following URL patterns to track users as they progress.

*/select-service/

*/select-staff-and-location/

*/select-slot/

*/take-details/

*/take-payment/

*/auto-complete-booking/

*/booking-succeeded/

The * is a wildcard, to catch parts of the URL that might change in future.

Cross-Domain Tracking

10to8 can work alongside Google Analytics tracking installed on your domain. This means that, if you are running a Google Adwords campaign and have a landing page on your site, you can track those users from the landing page, through the 10to8 booking flow and to the booking, even though they are hosted on different websites.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Follow the instructions outlined here for "primary-domain" (which will be yours): https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1034342?hl=en
  2. Then, go to "Online Booking" > "Booking Page" > “SEO and Analytics Settings” and enter your domain in the "Google Analytics Linked Domain" option. The domain is your website, without the "https://" part, up to but excluding the next slash, e.g. 10to8.com or cnn.com

Once this is done, you will start seeing Google Analytics data for users landing on your site, and then
