Once an appointment is booked, you and your customers can see the details of it, along with the messages and notifications that have been sent.

How to access


To open this page, open the calendar on your phone or desktop and click on the booking that you would like to view the communications for.

The highlighted box in the screenshot above is called the "activity window". You are able to send messages to the customers on the booking by clicking or tapping the blue "SEND MESSAGE" button. Before you send the message, as long as you have the necessary contact details for your customer, you are able to chose whether you would like to send the message via email or SMS. 


Interpreting the information


By clicking on the icons underneath the messages in the activity window you are able to see additional information such as where the message was sent, using which contact details.

The speech bubble icon means that the message was sent via SMS and the envelope icon means that the message was sent via email.


  • One grey tick shows that the message was successfully sent from your 10to8 account
  • Two black ticks show that the message was successfully delivered to your client. 
  • Two blue ticks show that the client has opened and read the message*. 


*Important note: For text messages the client must click on the link that appears with the rest of the information for the system to recognise that the client has read the SMS.

Messages like the ones above that are grey are communications that are scheduled to send in the future, according to how your customer reminders/follow up communications are configured. For more information on how to do this, please refer to this article. 


Monitoring changes to appointments


You can also add private notes to those messages by clicking or tapping on "ADD NOTE".


In addition to this, you are able to see every action carried out for the appointment (the date and time that it was booked and by whom.) For example, if you are trying to find out who has cancelled an appointment, just click on the booking in your calendar and look through the history in the activity window.
